Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini (Rossini Symphony Orchestra) has two locations in Pesaro and Fano. It is recognized and supported by Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities - Mibac), Regione Marche (Marche Region), the Municipality of Pesaro and the Municipality of Fano.
OSR is the maker, organizer and performer of "Sinfonica 3.0", a symphonic season that starts from Marche theaters all year round in Italy and abroad. Sinfonica 3.0 includes: Xanitalia I concerti d’Inverno (Xanitalia Winter Concerts) - Pesaro, Musica per Pesaro Unesco - Music for Pesaro Unesco - Pesaro, Symphonic Season - Fano, La stagione più bella (The most beautiful season) - Pergola, Vitruvio 3.0 - Fano and Xanitalia I concerti d’Estate (Xanitalia Summer Concerts) - Pesaro, Tracce (Tracks) - Province of Pesaro and Urbino.
OSR is the main orchestra of Teatro della Fortuna in Fano and for over 10 years has been constantly present at Rossini Opera Festival.
OSR pays much attention to education and for this reason it obtained an excellence reward from the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) organizing projects such as La Scuola va a Teatro (The School goes to Theater), Festival Giovani per la Musica (Youth for Music Festival) and "Giovani in Crescendo" competition.
In the last two years (2018-2019) Orchestra Rossini also performed for Marche Opera Network (Teatro della Fortuna, Ventidio Basso Theater in Ascoli, Teatro dell'Aquila in Fermo), Pergolesi Spontini Foundation (Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi), Marche Teatro ( Teatro delle Muse in Ancona) in the titles Falstaff, The metamorphoses of Pasquale, Cenerentola, Un ballo in maschera.
In Japan OSR toured the Petite Messe Solennelle (Tokyo Suntory Hall, Kakegawa, Sendai, Souma), while in Oman, for Rossini Opera Festival, it participated in the production La scala di seta at the Royal Opera House in Muscat.
He also participated in The European House - Ambrosetti Forum by performing extracs from The Barber of Seville by Rossini.
Together with the Municipality of Pesaro and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, OSR promoted Rossini projects for the 150th anniversary of Rossini, which were implemented in Italy, Latvia, Kosovo, Albania and Germany.
OSR recorded Sinfonie Rossiniane at Teatro Rossini in Pesaro with its artistic director, Daniele Agiman, and Largo al factotum at Teatro della Fortuna in Fano with the famous baritone Nicola Alaimo under the direction of Mirca Rosciani.
